Cancel an appointment 6 or more hours before the slot and your refund is issued automatically — HealAssist never charges a cancellation fee. Money returns the way you paid: wallet credit back to your wallet, card/UPI money back to your bank. In a split payment, the card/UPI leg is refunded first.
A HealAssist refund follows one principle: money returns the way it came in. Here is when a refund is automatic, how the money moves, and what happens in each payment mix.
When is a HealAssist refund automatic?
Cancel your appointment 6 or more hours before the slot, and the refund is issued automatically — no request needed. HealAssist never charges a cancellation fee, though hospitals may apply their own late-cancellation policy for very short notice.
Under 6 hours — and for any non-appointment payment, like vouchers — the team reviews the request individually rather than making a blanket promise. Refunds are not available once treatment has commenced; see the Terms of Service for the refund policy.
How does the money come back?
It depends on how you paid. Paid entirely with HealAssist wallet credit? The credit returns to your wallet when the refund is issued. Paid by card or UPI? The money goes back to your bank, which typically takes 5–7 business days to appear.
Paid with both — a split payment? The card/UPI leg is refunded first. Your wallet credit is returned once the payment gateway confirms that card/UPI refund went through — the order is guaranteed, and the wallet return depends on gateway confirmation, not on when the money lands in your bank.
