My doctor is no longer available. What happens to my appointment?

Contact your HealAssistant. HealAssist prioritises rebooking you with an equivalent specialist when your doctor becomes unavailable. Do not try to fix it by rescheduling in the app: rescheduling only moves you to another slot with the same doctor, so it cannot help when the doctor is the problem.
Doctors go on leave, get called into surgery, and fall ill like everyone else. If yours becomes unavailable before your appointment, here is what HealAssist commits to and what you should actually do.
What HealAssist commits to
If your doctor becomes unavailable, HealAssist prioritises rebooking you with an equivalent specialist. That means you are not simply dropped back into a search — the point of the commitment is that you get someone of comparable standing, and quickly.
What to do
Contact your HealAssistant
Tell them your doctor is no longer available. This is the step that actually moves things — a person arranges the equivalent specialist, and a person is what you need here.
Do not reschedule in the app expecting a new doctor
Rescheduling keeps you with the same doctor. If they are unavailable, it will not help you, and you will have spent the time.
You can cancel yourself if you would rather
You can cancel the appointment yourself from your appointments list. If you paid and cancel six or more hours before the slot, the refund starts automatically — the automatic refunds article explains what happens in every other case.
