How to book a doctor consultation on HealAssist
Last reviewed
हिन्दी में पढ़ेंQuick answer
Open the doctor you want, pick a slot, and fill in the patient details. When you submit them, HealAssist holds the slot for you and takes you to payment. If the doctor charges no consultation fee, there is no payment step at all. You then land on your appointments list, where the booking appears.
On HealAssist you book a doctor, not a hospital. Even if you start from a hospital page, you pick the doctor you want to see — so the booking always has a name attached to it.
How to book
Open the doctor you want to see
Find the doctor from the doctor list for your city and specialty, or from a hospital page. Either route works, and both end up in the same place. If the doctor practises at more than one hospital, you choose which hospital when you pick your slot.
Pick a time slot
Choose from the doctor’s available slots. Picking one selects it — it is not yet held, so do not leave the form half-finished for long.
Fill in the patient details
Name, age and mobile number, plus what the appointment is about. You can book for yourself or for a saved family member. An email address is optional — your mobile number is what identifies you on HealAssist. When you submit these details, HealAssist holds your slot and takes you on to payment.
Pay the consultation fee, if there is one
If the doctor charges a consultation fee, you pay it now, by card, UPI or netbanking. You can choose to put your HealAssist wallet credit towards it — that is a choice you make at checkout, not something applied to you automatically. If the doctor charges no consultation fee, this step does not appear at all and your appointment is simply booked.
You land on your appointments
HealAssist takes you to your appointments list, where the new booking appears. There is no separate confirmation screen — the appointment in your list is the confirmation.
What am I paying at booking?
You are paying the doctor’s consultation fee, and nothing else. The amount is worked out by HealAssist’s own server from the fee recorded for that doctor at that hospital — it is not read from your browser, so it cannot be altered by anything on your device. If that fee is zero, you pay nothing and the appointment is booked outright.
The cost of the procedure itself, if you go on to have one, is a separate matter and is not what you are paying here.
