The Recovery line on a HealAssist quote is the recovery timeline the hospital itself gave for that procedure. Not every hospital fills it in — when one has not, you see a dash. It describes a typical patient, not you: your doctor is the only person who can tell you about your own recovery.
"How long will I be out for?" is often the question that actually decides which procedure someone chooses. HealAssist shows what the hospital says about it, and is careful not to pretend it is more than that.
Where does the Recovery line come from?
From the hospital. Each hospital records a recovery timeline for the procedures it offers, and HealAssist shows that value on your quote beside the price. HealAssist does not calculate it, adjust it, or average it out.
That is a deliberate choice. A recovery estimate is a clinical statement, and it should come from the people doing the procedure — not from a pricing platform.
Why does my quote show a dash?
Because that hospital has not given a recovery timeline for that procedure. HealAssist shows a dash rather than filling the gap with a guess — an invented number on a medical page is worse than an honest blank.
If the number matters to your decision, ask. Your HealAssistant can put the question to the hospital, and the doctor can answer it properly at your consultation.
