If something went wrong — with a hospital, a doctor, a bill, or with HealAssist itself — file a complaint. HealAssist commits to resolving complaints within one day.
How to file a HealAssist complaint
Choose where to file
You can file a complaint without an account. If you sign in first, your complaint is linked to you and — importantly — you can then track its status.
Pick the category that fits
The categories are service quality, billing, staff behaviour, cleanliness, medical error, and other. Pick the closest one — it tells the team what kind of problem they are looking at.
Describe what happened
Be specific: what happened, where, when, and who was involved. If you file while signed in, you can also pick who the complaint is about — a doctor you booked, a hospital you visited, or your HealAssistant — so it does not arrive attached to nobody.
Submit and save your reference
A short reference appears on the confirmation screen. Write it down: HealAssist does not email or text it to you, so that screen is the only time you see it.
What each complaint status means
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Open | HealAssist has your complaint; nobody is assigned to it yet. |
| Assigned | A HealAssist team member now owns your complaint. |
| In progress | They are actively working on it. |
| Resolved | HealAssist considers it resolved. |
| Closed | The complaint is finished and closed. |
A complaint is not the same as a formal grievance
A HealAssist complaint is about your experience — service, billing, a hospital, a doctor. A formal grievance is a data-protection instrument: it concerns how your personal data has been handled, is acknowledged within 48 hours and answered within 30 days, and goes to HealAssist’s Grievance Officer. If your issue is about your data rather than your care, use the grievance route instead.
