What if my hospital is not on my insurer’s cashless network?

Then you cannot go cashless there. You pay the hospital yourself and claim the money back from your insurer afterwards — that is called reimbursement. HealAssist helps you prepare and file the claim, but the insurer decides what comes back.
Cashless means your insurer settles the bill directly with the hospital and you walk out having paid little or nothing. It only works at hospitals on your insurer’s network. If the hospital you want is not on it, that door is closed — but the money is not gone.
Instead you pay the hospital yourself, and then claim the amount back from your insurer. That is reimbursement.
What HealAssist does
Your HealAssistant helps you prepare and file the reimbursement claim — getting the right documents from the hospital, putting the file together properly, and submitting it. A reimbursement claim is usually rejected for paperwork reasons rather than medical ones, so getting the file right the first time is most of the job. HealAssist does not charge you a claim-processing or file charge for it.
Checking on your claim
Ask your HealAssistant. There is no claim screen in your HealAssist account — the claim is worked between HealAssist, the hospital and your insurer, and your HealAssistant is who tells you where it has got to.
