HealAssist

Does HealAssist charge a fee to process my insurance claim?

Quick answer

No. You pay nothing to HealAssist for processing your insurance claim. Hospitals typically charge ₹500–2,000 as a claim or file charge — HealAssist makes sure that does not land on you.

It is common for a hospital to add a claim-processing or "file" charge when your treatment is paid for by insurance — usually somewhere between ₹500 and ₹2,000, added to the bill for the administrative work of filing the paperwork. It is a charge for something you did not ask for and cannot refuse.

You do not pay it through HealAssist. Your HealAssistant handles the claim paperwork, and part of the job is making sure this charge does not end up on your bill.

If you see one on your bill anyway

Tell your HealAssistant before you pay it. Your HealAssistant reviews the final bill before discharge, and a file charge appearing on it is exactly the sort of line item that review exists to catch. Raise it while you are still at the hospital — that is when it is easiest to take off.
