HealAssist

Do I need an account to book an appointment?

Quick answer

Yes. Booking needs a HealAssist account. Signing in takes a mobile number and the code texted to you, or your Google or Apple account. You can pick your clinic, date and time first — when you continue to checkout HealAssist asks you to sign in, then brings you back to everything you had chosen.

You can browse HealAssist as much as you like without an account — search hospitals, compare prices, read about procedures. Booking is where that stops. An appointment belongs to somebody, and HealAssist has to know who that somebody is.

What signing in actually takes

The quickest way is a one-time code: give your mobile number, and HealAssist texts you a code. There is no password to remember. You can also sign in with Google or Apple if you would rather. If you have ever booked or paid on HealAssist before, your mobile number already is your account.

You can still book for someone else

Needing an account does not mean the appointment has to be for you. Sign in as yourself and choose to book for someone else — a parent, a child, a spouse. The account is how HealAssist reaches you about the appointment; the patient can be anyone.
