I spelled the city differently and it still worked. Why?

HealAssist recognises common alternative spellings of a city name and takes you to the right city automatically, so you do not have to guess which spelling HealAssist uses.

Can I book treatment in a city I do not live in?

Yes. Choose the city where you want the treatment to happen. HealAssist then shows you the hospitals, doctors and prices in that city — your own city does not restrict where you can be treated.

Do prices change from city to city?

Yes. Each hospital carries its own price for a procedure, and the hospitals available differ from city to city — so the same procedure can cost different amounts in different cities. The prices you see are always the ones for the hospitals in the city you have selected.

HealAssist works city by city. The hospitals, doctors, prices and offers you see are the ones in the city you have chosen — so picking the right city is the first thing that matters.

HealAssist opens in new cities as it grows, and the city picker is served live from HealAssist itself. That means the picker is always right, and a list written into a help article would go stale the day a new city opens. So this article deliberately does not list the cities — the picker does.

How to choose or change your city

Open the city picker
It is in the HealAssist header. It lists every city HealAssist is currently operating in — and only those.
Pick your city
HealAssist takes you to the same page you were on, in the city you picked. The city is part of the web address, so you can also bookmark or share a page and it stays pinned to that city.
Change it whenever you like
Open the picker again. If you are arranging treatment for a family member in another city, switch to that city — the prices and hospitals you then see are that city’s.

What if HealAssist is not in my city yet?

If your city is not in the picker, HealAssist has not opened there yet, and there is nothing you can do to switch to it. If you go to a HealAssist page for a city that is listed but not yet open, HealAssist takes you back to the home page rather than showing you an error — that is HealAssist telling you it is not available there, not a fault.

You can still use HealAssist for treatment in a city it does cover. Many patients travel for planned treatment, and the city you choose is the city the treatment happens in — it does not have to be the city you live in.
